My classroom layout is intentionally designed to support a structured, student-centered, and inclusive learning environment. Each area of the room serves a clear purpose, allowing for a balance of whole group instruction, small group learning, and independent work.
The carpet area is used for whole group lessons and community-building, while student tables are arranged to promote collaboration and engagement. A designated small group table allows for targeted instruction and differentiation. Around the classroom, centers are organized to encourage independence and hands-on learning.
The classroom library provides a welcoming space with diverse texts that serve as mirrors and windows for students, while a calm corner supports self-regulation and social-emotional development. The teacher workspace is positioned to the side, allowing me to remain active and engaged with students throughout the day.
Overall, my classroom layout reflects my commitment to creating a structured yet flexible environment where all students feel supported, engaged, and ready to learn.
